Our basement is almost done – just a bit of touch up and we can finally get our family room down into the basement – of course, we also need walls for the laundry room. The spouse wants to put in home theater system speakers for the basement and asked me where he should put it – because he doesn’t wanna disturb my “feng shui” . You see although he doesn’t believe in it thoroughly – he knows that I do – so he doesn’t want to upset me too much. Anyhow, so the question asked is will having a home theater system speakers affect one’s feng shui – seriously, I don’t think so – so I told the spouse to go ahead and blast the basement all he wants – after all it is his basement right and he should be able to do what he wants with it.
As I watch children going back to school and away for college a few weeks ago – I can understand why some parents have anxiety seeing their kids drive away with most of their things with them in their new found freedom and a car. My girlfriend from here – bought some new buick lucerne custom floor mats for her son’s car because she wanted to give him the best and like all parents we want the best for our kids. Which brings us back to feng shui for life – not only for ourselves but also for our children – especially those going away for work and school.
Feng Shui for Life is about welcoming the positive and dispelling the negative – so if you know that your kid didn’t do so well in his first year of college – it’s time to take a look at the area he studies in and the environment he is in. Say he was in a room that is dark and has no open windows - now how can someone do well in such an environment right? and it’s a pretty easy rectification when it comes to that right? And as for the car they will be zipping around the city in – well – you know what to do – have the mechanic check it out thoroughly – change oil – undercoat the car if you must – and make sure the tires are good and still has thread on them and if you feel wealthy and oblige – you can get them the lovely Buick lucerne custom floor mats like the ones my g/f bought for her son. In fact, after seeing the custom mat – I might get some for myself – I do like the Lloyd custom carpet floor and cargo mats.
So a friend who had been following Joey Yap asked me – why a Feng Shui Excursion ? and who are they for? for his students only or is it for anyone who practices Feng Shui? Well, truth be told I don’t know who they are actually for – but I doubt he would refused to take anyone who is interested after all – he would definitely welcome another person and another insight. So I took a look at the itineary and was quite interesting but one thing I know for sure is they did a lot of coverage and walking around – and if I were to take the excursion – i told my friend I would be wearing my enzo angiolini shoes because it is not only pretty and fashionable but definitely a walking shoe as well.
Lots of feng shui sites were covered during the excursion therefore, I’m sure the sights is not only breath-taking but also gave whoever who had taken part in the excursion a glimpse of the amazing landforms in Taiwan. Lots of good energy – and it would be awesome to be able to go – so I told my girlfriend that the next time Joey Yap has another one of this trip – we should try to go.
The spouse saw some very good deals for some samsung lcd televisions at our local electronic store – and like all men – they loved their electronics and how can they give up a good deal when they see one. So he wants to buy one – and change the projection tv – at the basement to a LCD tv – because he said it would save a lot of space and also – the picture is so much better than our 56″ projection tv. I totally agree with him – but when we got our projection tv – it wasn’t cheap either – so what are we going to do with the old tv – if we get the new one – for he knows – I don’t like a lot of electronics at home – neither is he going to move it to another part of the house – because he wasn’t going to disturb my feng shui. So what to do? and why don’t I want so much electronics in the house? because the energy is too much to disperse at one time. So my solution was – to first sell off the projection tv and then he can go ahead and buy the samsung tv. So that was what we did – so if your spouse wants to change to another lcd tv – this is what I suggest that you do – get rid of the old one first and then let him buy a new one – no fighting about it – and it’s fair.
Faces of Fortune is launched by Joey Yap’s student – Tee Lin Say – so the student is going to be more popular than the master eh. But in this book – Tee described how a person’s look can tell a lot of the person. The art of face reading – is well known with fortune tellers – but i didn’t know that it goes for feng shui too.
Tee is said to have written the book – so that the laymen like you and I – can understand it better with the lingo of the experts. Also this book can help one – with making sure that a business partner or an investment is well invested because you can tell if the person is honest – can bring you luck etc. You can find some very prominent personality in her book too. I don’t know how much the book is going for – but I’ll let you know soon.
Family pictures are so important to me – especially when I learned that having family pictures at home – will bring the family together – and stronger. So when I saw these photo frames online I just had to get them – because this will go so well – in the living room of our home. So beautiful and so many family photos that I can hang up without putting so many holes into the wall. My girlfriend just turned her sun porch into another guest room for emergencies – but even in the summer – it can get very cold – so she said – plus she wanted to feng shui her sun porch/guest room – so what should she do – she asked. First I checked out the sun porch in the evening – and true enough – it got really cold real fast. So I recommended that she want to put some heat into this room – a warm room is a must even if the sun porch wasn’t an emergency guest room. So the next time I was there – she had an infrared heater
in there – and true enough the sun porch was so much more warmer and nicer already. But having seen the heater myself – I thought of getting it too for our home. It is said to only cost like 14 cents/hr – so less than $2 for the entire night. I will go chat with someone live and find out more about the free shipping. So if you have a sun porch – and want to feng shui it – don’t forget to keep that sun porch warm.
Dark corners usually means negative energy – that’s why how some people would think that there is something eerie in dark rooms and dark corners. Ask any kids to go sit or play at a dark corner – and they would definitely not want to go. Not because the corner is haunted but I am seriously guessing it’s because of the negative energy built within that dark corner. So armed with my power supplies and extension cords – I started checking out all the dark corners of my house and room and lighted it up with night lights and other light elements. What about when your child is at summer camp for a week? do you light up the room – yes – so they said. It’s good to light up the room with a night light. They say to turn on a light and scare the bad chi away from the dark corners of your home. So if your child complains about scary or eerie corner – don’t go ghost hunting but it just means that the corner has bad chi or stagnant.
