Someone wrote to me about corporate feng shui for her small business - why? because they seems to be running into some sorta “bad luck” as she puts it. There has been small bumps a long the way - in the recent months and she asked if I can give her any kind of insight. I asked her what kind of bumps? she said even her electronics are going bonkers of late. Her iphone had gotten lost - her notebook crashed on her and everything didn’t seems to run as smoothly.
Once again - like i tell everyone - Feng Shui isn’t magic - and if you have things missing or your notebook or ipod or any electronics busted - then try iphone warranty or notebook warranty. Having things busted is part and parcel of life - it doesn’t mean anything but to have your electronics replaced. Now if you have them insured then of course - you never need to feel that the feng shui in your office or your home or even your kids in college being in bad feng shui. So yes - Feng shui is about common sense mostly - there you have it.
Don’t worry - I too never knew about the singing bowl till I read the Grand Master Yap’s piece on it. Apparently, the Crystal singing bowls are used to attract positive chi into one’s home and offices - we also know by now that crystal is a chi cleansing element - that is why you see people having crystals in their home or some wearing them all the time. So i was reading up on how to reduce belly fat but came across the importance of combining the powers of singing bowls and different objects to make it work best to clear bad chi and attracting the good ones.
So I checked to buy one to find that the crystal singing bowls like the above ain’t cheap - a simple one can cost from a few hundred to the above for $899. Yes I hear you - it’s very expensive - but if you can even afford a cheap one - between - $100 - $200 - the bowls are ideal for placing them at palces where chi doessn’t flow or lack of light and yin energy. By placing a crystal singing bowl at such kind of spots, any negative chi which might have been causing problems to the environment would be repelled at the same time than positive energy would be attracted. I’m gonna continue hunting for affordable crystal singing bowls and if i find it - i’ll be sure to let everyone know.
So we went for a housewarming of a dear friend who bought a town house in the city. The spouse chose to put on his designer ties for this occasion - but as soon as we went into the house - we were definitely blown over by the furnishing and the time they had spent to put their home together. But alas, their kitchen faces direct to the guest toilet - i was shocked too - but on occasion like this can i tell the host that the feng shui for the kitchen is bad? Because we all know that a Kitchen that faces the toilet - causes bad health and lost of prosperity. But the toilet is already there - so what can she do even if i told her?
So is there a cure for someone who has a house like that? Yes ! i believe so - I think one should close up that toilet and never use it or change the toilet to become a dressing room or even a cloak room.
Whether you have your own business or you own your own house or if you are only working for yourself, whether you have a family or single or have parents to look after - we all want abundance in our life. Be it monetary or health aspect - we want abundance. I don’t know about you but for myself - I never want to be rich - but i definitely want to be comfortable and to have good health. So while looking at auto insurance quotes and chatting with someone with lots of feng shui interest, she reminded me of the Under the Doormat 9 coins.

My friend’s husband is a medical officer who sells medical equipment and had asked me - what she can get for her hubby because the economy doesn’t bear well for his business. So i recommended this petite looking Camelian Gold Fish Tassel - coz’ it’s easy - to clip onto your personal effects like your handbags or cellphone. It is also said that the goldfish is a popular symbol of abundance. I was invited to an office opening a few years back and of course besides bringing along a personalized gift , i was also asked for a personal favor to see if i can help look at the office position a friend was sitting in. For those who are not aware of this - if you have a bright light pointing directly or shining behind you - you are prune to disloyalty and getting betrayed. So check and make sure you don’t have bright light pointing directly at you - like an arrow and not your overhead lights.
Don’t the loose rose quartz crystal look great? Yes ! and they come free if i buy something from my favorite feng shui store this Valentine - I just had to get it. For those who are already in a relationship or even married besides making sure that you get your allergy mattress covers , it is good to keep that romance alive too. I know it can be hard at times, with kids and work and sometimes even school but who said an relationship is easy right? and even with feng shui, you have to work at it too. Taking each other for granted is definitely not a good thing - so if you have been taking your partner for granted - this valentine, don’t only send flowers or place love cures but really work on it. I do have to too.
Everyone loves a good chandelier from Dolan Designs lighting but as we all know in feng shui - good vibes and placement is very important. I am also very careful about the shape of things that i buy - not only because i want to be practical but sharp edges representing arrows is a no - no for my home. As beautiful as some things may be, one has to be careful - that good vibes is more important that the looks. So when i buy anything, whether is lighting or any furniture - i make sure it is not of an obscure shape nor made with sharp edges.
For those who are not aware of this.. we do own our own business. And like any business owners.. who knows a bit about feng shui.. or believe that feng shui can enhance your living and working condition, i’ll have to say.. one has to tread very carefully with regards to your business feng shui. Besides putting in the right tiles for our office, we also need to be aware of our sitting position as the commanding officer in our business. One has to make sure that your desk or counter for collecting money is facing the door but not directly because you wealth may just go thru’ you .. from front to back. Do not sit with your back to the door. But if you had no choice like us.. with a long hallway to get to the cashier counter.. or our desk, place a crystal in between to break the bad energy and to ward off .. bad arrows.
Hollow Rods: A Must
I’ve always worried about buying wind chime. Why ? because if you buy the wrong one or placed them wrongly, it can do more harm than good for your entire household. Like any smart person, if i was buying something with regards to horse riding, i consult a equestrian apparel expert. So for feng shui, i consulted my trusted feng shui master. This is what i learned - your wind chime should always have hollow rods – this is important! Hollow rods will stimulate good Qi since the flow of the energy can easily pass through these rods themselves. Plus, the rods of your wind chime should be able to move with the breeze.
