There are more important things in life than just money – and becoming rich.  For me – health and harmony at home is very important  – and once upon a time I was taught to use incense to clear the stale air in the home – to welcome harmony into my home – by bringing in the positive chi.

One can also use incense to rid of bad energy left by guests in your home – or an irate customer.  This is what I have been trying out for a month now and I’m happy with the result – check it out yourself and you may find harmony not only at home but at work.

We are very lucky – we don’t have tornadoes in our town – but a friend who recently lost her home to a tornado – lost just about everything except for the shirt on their back.  It’s hard to live in a place where tornado can strike anytime – so she wrote and asked me how she can feng shui her environment now she is ready to rebuild her home.

First of all – I told her nothing is more important than the lives of her family – and now that she knows that she may have another tornado in the future – a storm shelter is a must before any feng shui can come in.  Of course, it would be wise to get a professional to come help you with the storm shelter and advise her on what needs to be in the storm shelter should it happen again.  Once a storm shelter is intact – then we can look at feng shuiing her environment.  I think nothing is a better investment than investing on the lives of your family.  Things can be bought again – but lives and health – no way.

My neighbor was just telling me – that after a visit to her son’s college – she was a bit worried that the study room for her son’s class was in the basement of a building.  She asked me if it was even conducive for them to study in the basement whereby there is no sunlight nor fresh air in it.  She worries that it might affect his studies because of the environment he was in.   She also worries that with so many students placed in such closed proximity – he might not be able to concentrate.

Well, that’s easy – I told her – because she could get him some bluetooth stereo headphones and he can use it – to listen to the music he likes and that should help him to block out the noises he doesn’t want.  Plus these days – kids don’t mind the noise around them like we used to – they are of a different generation.  And many studies in college are placed in the basement because classes are bigger now and finding a place to place all students can be a bit challenging and even though they are in the basement – it doesn’t mean that the feng shui is bad.  A neat study like the one above is as conducive as one can get in a college around here – so there isn’t very much to worry about – plus if they are placed in the basement – I’m sure air – exchangers are being used and air cleaners are in place as well as filters – as for sunlight – bright lights above the computer like the ones in the pictures acts as sunlight and are just as good

Now don’t laugh now – it’s true people seek lucky auspicious invitation cards for the success of an important event or function and celebration party.  Why do you think people hire professionals to print out campaign invitation cards or a conference event.  I know my spouse received some Baseball Invitations at the office from an important client’s campaign speech to get him elected for a baseball manager or spokesperson not too long ago.  So yes – when sending out invitation cards for an event – some people also look at the feng shui aspect of it and making sure that the color and graphics are appropriate for a good and successful event.  So if you do get a special invitation the next time – think about how the invitation is designed and the color and then compare it with the usual invitation cards you have and see for yourself how good invitation cards can impact an event even if it was just a birthday party.

The spouse saw some very good deals for some samsung lcd televisions at our local electronic store – and like all men – they loved their electronics and how can they give up a good deal when they see one.  So he wants to buy one – and change the projection tv – at the basement to a LCD tv – because he said it would save a lot of space and also – the picture is so much better than our 56″  projection tv.   I totally agree with him – but when we got our projection tv – it wasn’t cheap either – so what are we going to do with the old tv – if we get the new one – for he knows  – I don’t like a lot of electronics at home – neither is he going to move it to another part of the house – because he wasn’t going to disturb my feng shui.  So what to do?  and why don’t I want so much electronics in the house?   because the energy is too much to disperse at one time.  So my solution was – to first sell off the projection tv  and then he can go ahead and buy the samsung tv.  So that was what we did – so if your spouse wants to change to another lcd tv – this is what I suggest that you do – get rid of the old one first and then let him buy a new one – no fighting about it – and it’s fair.

Family pictures are so important to me – especially when I learned that having family pictures at home – will bring the family together – and stronger.  So when I saw these photo frames online I just had to get them – because this will go so well – in the living room of our home.  So beautiful and so many family photos that I can hang up without putting so many holes into the wall.  Love it !  so if you are looking to put family photos for feng shui reasons – check this photo frame out.

Success ! who doesn’t want to be successful right?  But how does one measure success?  with how much you have?  with how much love ones and friends you have? or is it your health that you measure your success with?   i don’t know about other people but for me – my child comes first – as long as she is healthy, happy and we can afford to get her things she needs – and some things she wants – that to me is the most successful.  The comes our health – happiness and money comes actually last.  I’m not one who needs a lot of money nor be a millionaire – as long as we pay our bills – don’t owe anyone any money – have the necessities and a small little nest for rainy days – that to me is happiness – and then comes a very successful life.

Some folks wants to be successful in their career or be making lots and lots of money, some folks wants to marry into a rich family – while others – they want a bigger house, bigger car, bigger garden, bigger office and many holiday trips around the world.  Some people fill their homes with Feng Shui amulets and make a shrine out of it – but you and I know that Feng Shui shouldn’t be practiced this way.   Yes, we can use some feng shui to attract wealth or make life go a lot more smoothly for us – but to be overly greedy – that’s just not my practice.

So when someone asked me – why am i not rich – since I practice Feng Shui – I told that person – I’m far from rich – in the monetary sense – but I’m a lot more calmer – happier and money doesn’t really bother me much – my health and those of my family and loved ones does – and since we are mostly happy and healthy – I would have to say – we are quite the success with Feng Shui eh.

It is said that hanging pictures of the entire family in the living room wall is potent.  So to feng shui your walls at home you should have happy family pictures – especially those on holidays.   It creates feng shui togetherness for the entire family and creates safety for the entire family as well.  And the thing to avoid hanging on your wall is anything that is depressing or ugly – such as monsters or dracula.

So I’m attending a face reading workshop organized by the small business association from the city and I was invited to join and put the event together.  I’m very excited because this will be the first time I’m meeting this feng shui practitioner and he is quite a reputable one in the West.  I’ve all the office supplies prepared for his temporary office for the week – he arrived a few days earlier and we have had a few meetings and lunches with him already.  I’m so looking forward to the workshop and can’t wait to tell you all about it later.  Every participant gets a personal notepad, pencil and folder with all the material from the workshop – and I’m pretty sure they will be impressed with the stationary.

While friends’ children are preparing for the mid year exams – another buddy of mine who is taking an online business degree is also preparing to take his too – so they had called last week to ask about feng shui and preparing for exams and what they can do to make studying more successful.

While some people go to the library for the preparation – i prefer to study at home – therefore, the study room is very important and needs to have a lot of positive energy. If you child is studying for an exam – make sure that the study room is clutter free and clean.  According to feng shui – a messy room produces a lot of “sha” energy.  Also to please note that one’s study chair needs to be in a place where there are no shelves around.  Make sure the chair is comfy and has a high back.   You can also place a picture of water behind the study chair – this helps with creative energy.  And you don’t have to wait till you are having an exams before doing all the above – for people who are doing online studies – you definitely need to be able to concentrate and have a little bit of discipline too.
