Our basement is almost done - just a bit of touch up and we can finally get our family room down into the basement - of course, we also need walls for the laundry room. The spouse wants to put in home theater system speakers for the basement and asked me where he should put it - because he doesn’t wanna disturb my “feng shui” . You see although he doesn’t believe in it thoroughly - he knows that I do - so he doesn’t want to upset me too much. Anyhow, so the question asked is will having a home theater system speakers affect one’s feng shui - seriously, I don’t think so - so I told the spouse to go ahead and blast the basement all he wants - after all it is his basement right and he should be able to do what he wants with it.
Many people don’t like to place a lot of electronics in their houses - for fear of too much energy in one place - but truth be told - it isn’t true - unless you are doing it in the bedroom or the bathroom. Why not the bathroom? because as far as i know - after reading up bluray reviews I don’t think that there is one - that is waterproof - so if you place one in the bathroom - and it accidentally falls into the bath-tub - you can imagine - what would happen - hahahha!! so it doesn’t take a genius to know all this are common sense. But if you were to buy a bluray machine and place it - say in the study room - I don’t think it would disagree with any feng shui in the house.
A friend wrote and asked me if she got some expensive headphones for the spouse for Christmas during Christmas for easy listening before sleeping - would it be ok? since i frown on electronics in any bedroom she continued. If the headphones is for pleasure listening and for putting the spouse to sleep easy - why not? the most important thing is to remember not to wear the headphones to sleep and wake up with them - why? for obvious reasons of course - you won’t get a good night sleep with headphones in the ears right. So those wanting to get headphones for the spouse - so that they can listen to their iPods - go right ahead.
I was asked the other day - if decorating the house during Halloween would upset the feng shui of a business or home. If so - how can one decorate without upsetting the feng shui. Like I tell everyone - there is nothing absolutely that one cannot do. Feng Shui - is about good flow of chi - and if you are dressed in black halloween costumes or decides to paint the door black - for Halloween - or like my neighbor have a coffin and a skeleton in the patio - it really doesn’t harm anyone. Thinking positive and in good fun - is all it is all about - and Halloween should be a fun event/occasion right? So don’t worry too much and have fun during Halloween - dressed up in anything or anyone you like. If you are still afraid of dressing up bad because of bad feng shui - then go as Elvis Presley - he is famous enough - get a costume that fits you. Have fun during Halloween everyone.
