Forehead Feng Shui

I’ve often wonder how people like Lee Kuan Yew become so powerful and someone who will go down in history.  I want to go down in history too!  is it in his face ?  or his life?  or just hard work?  Then I read about the forehead reading - that every forehead tells a story.  Mr Lee has a bulging forehead and people with bulging foreheads that stick out from the hairline suggest someone with excessive energy and drive. In some people, this comes across as restlessness and being out of touch with reality, but in others, this can spell success and great achievement. This forehead type brings much better luck for women than for men.

Balancing

Feng Shui is about good balance in your life - it’s not magic.  Good feng shui is all about what pleases your life and making you feel strong, experiencing good health and having positive attitude.  Balancing is the word one has to remember when you are practicing feng shui.  Energies that affect you and stimulate you - what you want in your life - surrounds how you balance your life.

For instance, if yours is a hectic work life or if your office space is cluttered with files and cramped with too many tables, then your home space should bring you at least a measure of restfulness that can soothe the turmoil and stress of your work life. Those who work in cramped offices should thus opt for a more spacious arrangement in their homes. Paintings associated with peacefulness can also do much to create a restful haven that subliminally balances the intense yang energy of work life. To some, good calligraphy or minimalist decor can also bring out the inner stillness they desire. For such people, decorative objects that create jarring contrast can cause hidden turmoil and this is seldom beneficial.

Mentors For Your Life

Who doesn’t want mentors in their life right?  but what if you are not chinese nor religious? if you’re not particularly religious, symbols that strongly suggest powerful and successful leaders of your own cultural and historical background may be used. All the great traditions of the world have their own folk heroes and legendary figures. Choose figures whose achievements or positions signify the kind of luck you desire.

For example, if you’re an American, you may wish to display a painting of a past American president whose qualities you admire. If you’re French, you can display a bust of Napoleon. If you’re a budding actor or singer, you may want to get a poster of a successful actor or singer whom you idolize and wish to emulate. Or, if you’re in a caring profession such as counseling, nursing or care giving and wish to learn the ways of kindness, generosity and patience of the late Mother Theresa, you’d want to get a painting of this icon.

Hanging pictures or placing statues of these mentors in the northwest of your home can be very effective. One final word of advice: the statues or figurines can be made of metal, ceramic, crystal or clay, but avoid placing statues carved out of wood in the northwest corner, as the northwest’s element is metal and in the destructive cycle, metal destroys wood. This is counter-productive, and instead of energizing, it may instead suppress, or worse, destroy the mentor luck you’re trying to cultivate!

Getting The Job You Want

So you have an interview - for a job - or even a promotion in another department and you are going for an appraisal?  You want that job desperately and you would do just about anything you can to ace the interview.  So many people asked - how can I do that?  For one - dressing up or dressing down - is important depending on what kind of job you are looking to get hired on - or promoted to.  For example - if you are trying to get an internship and you dress up with your usual hip hop clothing then I think you are not going to impress that much.  Hip hop clothing are great when it comes to going out and be the most fashionable but trying to get a internship for a law firm - you would have to re-think about that eh.  So yes!  you wanna get that job - dress up accordingly.

Mentors For Your Career

When I was younger and climbing the corporate ladder - i wished someone would have told me how to attract mentors to further my career.  I was nothing but a head full of strong will - which at that time - I thought I was being smart - nope!  not at all.

So how can one attract a powerful mentor? Look to the East and Feng Shui! The East has a long association with mentor-mentee concept. They believe that the dragon is an excellent bringer of luck and so one must take every opportunity to display its image whenever one is able to. Following are some examples how one can improve on your mentor luck:

Put on view a dragon image on the table, cabinet or wall on the East (wood) side of your office or study. This is where you do the bulk of your work and would surely need a mentor from. Your dragon may be ceramic, crystal or wood but NOT of gold, cloisonné, or metals. Recall your destructive cycle: metal element would cut (destroy) Wood.

For those of you who are avid gardeners with green thumbs, try replicating a green dragon on the East side of your garden with a winding flowerbed path.   Do you have any dragon image art or bowls? Try some of these in the East sector also.

Doorway To Your Home

We have the entrance to our house and then the entrance to various rooms of our home - even an archway to our kitchen. If you are like me and buying a new home - make sure that the rest of the doorway to different rooms to your home is lower than your main door.  Why? because you want to make sure that your wealth stays inside your home.  And what if the other archway or door is higher than your main door?  well this is really easy.  one can always get a fake arch put in to make it look lower.   This was what i learned some 20 yrs ago, when i bought my new home in Asia and the Feng shui practitioner told me about it.  I just happened to remember it today an thought I should share this with you.  Good luck!

Someone bought me a Jade money frog while on vacation in China.  So i looked it up to see what it symbolizes - once again - i’m letting you all know that the Jade Money Frog is not magic - neither is it a charm that creates money but symbolizes bringing in money each time one carries it outdoor and return home. The Money Frog symbol crafted in good quality jade and made into an amulet so that one can either display it or carry it along. The money frog is said to go out in the day time to look for money because of its greedy nature. This Money Frog (considered large in size) is delicately carved with a string of three coins bitten by its mouth. Carying along the money frog symbol or carrying along with you will enhance money making opportunities when going outdoor. Money frogs are the greatest money hunters. It would ensure all wealth and millions of dollars would stick to its paws. It would also be great for speculative luck for those who trade shares, buy lotteries or buy foreign currencies.

Rice urn is the stomach of a family, and represents income, savings, business and wealth abundance. It is important as a minimum requirement for anyone who wants to get seriously rich to have such a good feng shui rice urn. Please do not keep your rice in plastic bags, dustbin style containers, plastic containers or wood containers. Also a good rice urn must be as large as you could afford to ensure you have more than enough to eat. Our rice urns are actually large wealth vases that are usually decorated by hotels in their lobbies or used by rich tycoons to make their huge wealth vases in their homes.

Tips For Entrepreneurs

When i read about tips for entrepreneurs - i just had to share it with all of you - my experience.  I have friends who are very creative and very enterprising - just like an old college friend who went into photography.  Besides getting a good camera - he did his research and lots of  digital camera reviews on DSLR and digital cameras.  A good start - I’ll have to say for someone who is just starting out but today 10 yrs later - in his shop - he not only sells cameras but all sorts of camera accessories and camera cases.

A good foundation for any entrepreneur is very important but there are several ways to enhance one’s business success as I’ve read in a feng shui magazine.  So depending on what you are aiming for - whether a good turnover or good employee and employers relationship or productivity and even for people like us - good customer relationship.

To ensure your office building has good Feng Shui, check the surrounding roads and neighbouring buildings to ensure you are not suffering the killing breath of Poison Arrows.   Be on the lookout for bodies of water which often bring good luck.

Feng Shui can also be applied to the interior decor of your offices, and for good measure, you can investigate your personal auspicious directions (based on the formulae of the Pa Kua Lo Shu School) in my book Applied Feng Shui and then activate them by orientating your main door and your sitting position in an auspicious direction.

Feng Shui For Education Luck

Summer is going by so fast - and school will be starting sooner than you think - have you done your school lists for your kids yet?  We did ours last week as all Schools here in Canada opens on the 7th September.   A girlfriend from the States had asked me about feng shui for education luck - not for her kids but for herself - as she is taking an online course and needed to focus.   We all know that it takes a lot of discipline when doing an online course or studies and dedication from your own part - but finding a good online school is just as important - so here are some tips.

There are several Feng Shui good fortune symbols you can use to activate and enhance academic success. The Northeast is the direction which governs education and displaying relevant symbols helps to energize this area of the house. I use a Crystal globe - for this is a popular symbol used to improve luck in education and the globe is a powerful energizer for success in fields related to education and literature. This Symbol can be also placed on the child’s study desk or on the northeast area for luck in examinations.
