So I’ve been asked many times if putting a water fountain at home is a good thing…??  many people are told to have a water fountain at different part of their home – but i have to warn you that it is not true – sometimes the wheel of fortune as it is being called may be more detrimental to your wealth, business and health – than a help to you.

So be very careful where you place the water fountains – even if they are meant to be placed outdoors because the water fountain can cost your wealth to run out of your house instead of coming in.  Plus when yo do have water fountain – you have to keep them clean, i for one made a mistake by not cleaning mine that i had placed in our office.  So don’t make the same mistake as I.

Colors To Your Kids Bedroom

One first important aspect to have into account about a child’s room is the colors within it. You should pay special attention to the colors you choose for this space, not only for the walls but for the decoration in general. According to feng shui, a child’s room should be in earth colors such as light oranges, terracotta or warm yellows. These colors would make them feel safe.

Colors that are cold, such as blue or gray shades should never predominate in a child’s room, since they could bring them insecurity feelings. Besides, the wall and furniture colors should be in balance as well. It is also important to remark that too bright colors are not recommended for a child’s bedroom.

If your child is very active, you should balance this through the colors you choose for his bedroom; they should be light and relaxing colors such as beiges or very light oranges. On the other hand, if your child is quiet, you should choose warm orange or yellow colors which would be in balance his personality.

A friend of mine who have been in a long term relationship wants to spice up her relationship for fear of losing interest of her partner.   She had asked me if there was a way – to enhance her relationship without making way too many changes.  But you see – like i tell everyone – feng shui is no magic – one have to work on your relationship in order to make it work.  So instead i asked her to spice up her wardrobe maybe?   with some sexy costumes for home – when they are together – something different – something interesting.   Plus Halloween is coming – so even if the partner and her throw a Halloween party and she wear a witch costume – now that would spice up the relationship right?  Don’t be so predictable i told her – if she wants her relationship to be taken to another level – have fun.  Feng shui can help in a relationship but be practical as I tell everyone.

Feng shui indicates some specific guidelines regarding children’s spaces and bedrooms. The way we decorate them and the way we distribute the furniture – should be done by following those principles in order to achieve harmony and help your children feel comfortable in that space.  More on the colors in a later post.

Many people practices feng shui because of health reasons – if you don’t have your health – what is the use of having a lot of money.  But like my grandmother used to say – feng shui is no magic – neither can it perform any miracle.  So like my grandmother – she has seniors life insurance to take care of her instead of waiting for a miracle from Feng Shui.  Yes ! she practices it – but being practical is also learning the art of feng shui.  Health and insurance goes hand in hand – my grandparents always say – so even if you are practicing feng shui – it doesn’t mean you ignore all the other practical things – like seeing a doctor regularly or having life insurance or health insurance.

Know Your Environment With Feng Shui

Feng shui and your environment works together closely – in fact with regards to your well -being and those in your family – if you didn’t know by now.  Feng (wind) and Shui (water) – means the wind and the water around you – meaning actually – your environment.  My mom used to say that the morning air – is good for the entire house – and the air – that comes into the house after 6pm is not good any more. Now why did she say that?  i kept wondering about it for years – only to realize recently about the Yin air and the Yang air?   The night air I heard is considered the Yin air and the morning air is considered the Yang air?  so Yin is not so good and the Yang is good?

Yin-Yang symbolizes the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work.  The round exterior represents the totality and the black and white forms within the circle represent the two energies. The negative is called yin (black) and the positive is called yang (white). However, yin may not be negative and yang may not be positive. Yin is a necessity where it is absent and Yang is a requirement where it is not present to complete the harmony.  One can not exist without the other.
Yin would be dark, passive, cold, shrinking, peaceful and weak; yang would be bright, active, hot, growing, noisy and strong. Yang may be visible in the maleness, the Yin may appear in the femaleness – opposites and yet, completing each other.   The forms of the yin and yang create sense of the endlessness: yin to yang and yang to yin.  More about the yin and yang air – in another post.

Feng Shui Our New Truck

Yes! we just got a truck – for like $600 and another $200 for making it work for the road.  But the first thing we did even before working on it was to find the cheapest auto insurance for the truck.  Why?  because I told the spouse we are not spending a lot on insurance for an old truck.   And we did find cheap insurance for this old truck – it was like so cheap – i can’t even be upset with him for getting an old truck that we would probably use only once a month – to haul stuff from the store to the home or dumpster.  But having said all that – i know it is good to have a truck of our own – because we don’t have to depend on friends – and sometimes it can be hard.

So like anyone who practices feng shui – i learned that a truck can be feng shui’d too.  Looking at the front of a truck – that is the “mouth of chi” is the driver’s door.  And depending on the truck’s proportion – many trucks are entered a little left of center between career and wisdom.  A truck’s entrance is definitely in Wisdom with all the cab that comes after the driver’s door.  Tweaking wisdom each time a truck driver gets in to drive is a wonderful thing.  It spells fewer accidents – so if you are looking to activate a part of your life while you are on the road, orient the nine sector grid on the driver’s door.  That means, if you want to work on getting more help, creativity or love, you are going to have to clean out the trunk.  So now you know – go ahead and clean your trunk now.

Someone bought me a Jade money frog while on vacation in China.  So i looked it up to see what it symbolizes – once again – i’m letting you all know that the Jade Money Frog is not magic – neither is it a charm that creates money but symbolizes bringing in money each time one carries it outdoor and return home. The Money Frog symbol crafted in good quality jade and made into an amulet so that one can either display it or carry it along. The money frog is said to go out in the day time to look for money because of its greedy nature. This Money Frog (considered large in size) is delicately carved with a string of three coins bitten by its mouth. Carying along the money frog symbol or carrying along with you will enhance money making opportunities when going outdoor. Money frogs are the greatest money hunters. It would ensure all wealth and millions of dollars would stick to its paws. It would also be great for speculative luck for those who trade shares, buy lotteries or buy foreign currencies.
