As long as i can remember, Red has been used as an auspicious color. Whether it is a wedding .. or going to a happy event, you are encouraged to wear red or have red stuff like a handbag or your shoes.. or a scarf. Whether it is a new opening of a store or a company or even your friendly neighborhood grocery store.. RED is used for the announcement plates.. and the firecrackers.
So you understand the importance of red now and because it symbolizes good luck and success, it is also used for stirring up the wealth luck. But I’m sure you don’t want to wear all red when you go for an interview or when you start a new job right..?? so how do we go about stirring the good luck portion..?? Well since red is a yang color so full of energy and fire .. you can actually use abit of red in your dressing or even part of an ornament to be red and it will actually activate the wealth luck .. plus protect against bad luck and evil. If you see a young kid wearing a red string on the wrist.. you know what it is now.

I have always heard that a sloping celing in the room is not auspicious.. but house in the west are shaped this way.. because we either have a basement.. or an attic. It is said that bad energy comes from the overhead beam. So here’s the remedy. If you do have such a room, don’t panic… because it is not as harmful as some people make it out to be.
For rooms like these they are usually small.. and can be easily remedied. If there are windows in these rooms.. then it is the best.. if not place 2 lights at the corner of where these beams are.. and have them light up for at least a few hours a day. To be doubly safe.. use your dimmer lights where the corners of the beams are, this is to create an uplifting momentum for the room. If you do use this room as a sleeping room.. make sure that your head is facing the higher beam.

If you have a work desk at home or in the office? Do not put this important table directly in line with a door, or under a beam. Or you will be in the line of Sha, or bad Qi this way. Do reposition your desk. If you are not able to do that, then place a faceted crystal or a potted plant in front of your table to soften the blow. Try that..! and let me know how it works out.
